Project description
A catchy name. An everyday word, lighthearted, familiar, a little funny... but not insignificant. Because “tronche” is also another word for face. And there are countless faces out there: atypical, expressive, racialized, forgotten. So we thought: why not show them all? Why not celebrate them all? That's how Tronche: the Festival of Faces was born. An artistic, social, and socially conscious project that uses the face as a common thread to talk about identity and diversity, but also to denounce. Rather than choosing a city for its past, we chose La Tronche for what it can embody. A name that carries a powerful idea: that of a place open to all faces, even those we haven't always looked at. Because we all have a face to tell a story.
